Common mistakes
- Renaming a .png to .jpg and hoping it passes.
- Portals read the file itself, not its name, so a renamed file is usually rejected. Convert it properly instead.
- Compressing a photo that is already tiny.
- Squeezing a small file further makes it blurry without saving much. Check its size first.
- Ignoring a minimum size.
- Some forms set a floor as well as a ceiling. If yours does, type it into "Must be at least".
- Letting the picture shrink when the form fixed the pixel size.
- Only allow smaller dimensions if your form has no pixel requirement, or set the pixels afterwards.
